It takes everyone liberal and conservative to run the politics of the engine we call America! Patrotic American warriors defend with their life the right of pacifists to hold the wrong opinions. Something is happening in America as this July 4th approaches.
On the internet, they call it "going viral" when a video or an article begins to spread rapidly and widely with no promotion, just through the strength of its timing and message.
This Fourth of July week, the idea that Congress is failing the American people when it comes to high energy costs - the idea that America can and should produce more of our energy needs - and the idea that there will be political consequences for the elected officials who ignore this sentiment - all these ideas are going viral.
An Explosion of Interest on the Internet
Consider this:
In just two hours last Friday, an amazing 15,000 people watched this video on YouTube in which I discuss three ways Congress could act now to lower the price of gas. As of today, over 1 million people have viewed the video.
Over 1.2 million Americans have now signed American Solutions' "Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less" petition calling on Congress to act immediately to lower gas and diesel prices and help achieve energy independence.
American Solutions' new video on YouTube, "Energy Independence Day" was posted just yesterday and has already been viewed hundreds of times.
And here's something that just crossed my desk. John Bredeson is a trucker who is sick and tired of higher and higher diesel prices but little action from Congress. So he's turned his trucks into moving billboards to encourage real change in our energy policy, including a massive "Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less" logo! Watch the video here.
Our Chance to Make This Friday Energy Independence Day
The challenge now - our challenge - is to take this spontaneous outpouring of energy and concern and translate it into action in Washington.
So I'm calling on everyone one last time to act now, while there's still time. Call or email your representative or senators and let them know what's happening online.
If they're coming home for the Fourth of July holiday, catch up with them in person at a parade or a backyard barbecue and ask them why they aren't taking these three simple steps to lower gas prices.
Ask them if they know the facts about offshore drilling, America's vast reserves of shale oil, and how opening up new areas to environmentally safe drilling would have an immediate impact on gas prices.
We All Know What Happened the Last Time an American Declaration of Independence Was Ignored...
However you're most comfortable doing it, make sure you deliver this message: This 4th of July isn't business as usual. Not this time. Not this year.
This Independence Day the American people are declaring our independence from high energy prices, from foreign dictators, and from pathetic excuses for inaction in Washington.
This 4th of July we're declaring our energy independence.
And we all know what happened to the last ruling elite that ignored an American declaration of independence

Then there’s what some former subordinates and co-workers had to say on Counterpunch :
“The poster child for everything that is wrong with the GO (general officer) corps,” exclaims one colonel, who has had occasion to observe Clark in action, citing, among other examples, his command of the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood from 1992 to 1994.[...]
Such strong reactions are common. A major in the 3rd Brigade of the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado when Clark was in command there in the early 1980s described him as a man who “regards each and every one of his subordinates as a potential threat to his career”.
While he regards his junior officers with watchful suspicion, he customarily accords the lower ranks little more than arrogant contempt. A veteran of Clark’s tenure at Fort Hood recalls the general’s “massive tantrum because the privates and sergeants and wives in the crowded (canteen) checkout lines didn’t jump out of the way fast enough to let him through”.
As for his judgement in times of crisis - well, it’s not often that I’ll quote the Grauniad, but this is what they had to say :
As allied troops moved into Kosovo, 200 Russian troops made a surprise dash from Bosnia and occupied Pristina airport, where [UK] General Sir Mike Jackson, the commander of the international K-For peacekeeping force, was to make his headquarters. Gen Clark ordered Gen Jackson to storm the airport at which point the British commander was reported to have said: “I’m not going to start the third world war for you.”
…As for General Clark’s views on “Unilateral Action”, they seem change markedly, depending on who is in power. From Col. Jafras USAF (Retd) :
Nancy Hey began the questioning by expressing her opposition to the U.S. being the “World’s Policeman.” Clark went into a long explanation of how we can’t stand by while people are being killed, there’s genocide and ethnic cleansing, etc., etc. He acknowledged that we can’t be everywhere but in the case of Kosovo we could do something. When Nancy pressed him about not getting involved in other countries’ civil wars and internal problems, his reply was, “Shouldn’t we have done something about the Holocaust?” I told him that trying to equate Kosovo to the Holocaust was ridiculous. When another person questioned his position that we should have gone in on the ground as one that would have resulted in unacceptable casualties, Clark replied that the Yugoslav Army in Kosovo, which remain hidden to avoid the bombing was demoralized and probable would not fight.
The reason why General Clark has been so opposed to the Iraq war appears to be quite simple : Because it’s the Republicans who’re doing it.
He has the whole Clinton electoral mafia (I don’t use the word perjoratively) behind him. I think he’s a shoe-in as Democratic VP candidate - if that’s what he’ll settle for. He’s the consumate politician, and always has been. He knows which way the wind blows, and bends accordingly. A true “Little Napoleon”.
I just wonder why he waited untill Hillary dropped out of the pack to come forward with this startling revelation. Perhaps he trying to distance himself from the grandfaterh who was a rich white man slave owner. It has been proven that Obama is a cousin to VP Chaney.
What startling revelations are yet to come. Who knows what is hiding in the Obama woodpile.
Hear no woman see no woman say no woman
They choose an unqualified man over a highly qualified woman. Let us face it folks if this had been a republican contest the Grand Ole Party would've been drug over the coals by the liberal media. The winning candidate announced today that he is black and that just adds fodder to the fire because gosh a black man beating a white woman. But wait she was actually double teamed by the Obama/Soros joined at the head couple. I mean two on one that's liberal fun. Money can't buy you love but it sometimes can buy you an election.
The irony of it all is that Hillary has been at the forefront pushing collectivists causes and here come this Baraka Come Lately and steals her thunder. Future generations of communists will look back on her failure with disdain.
she will go down in history as the first woman candidate for president to be defeated by a self labeled black man
sometimes the best man for a job is not a woman
The time is now!
How can you set there with that smug look on your face ...
eternity comes fast and you don't know your place ...
Fate is standing in the dark shadows playing to your pride ...
and here you are unconcerned like time was on your side ...
The day will come when your ladder of life has no more rungs ...
and all your choices will expire with the breath in your lungs. ..
The nearest Bible can help you make your choice of eternal habitation ...
for you can find Christ Jesus in every book from Genesis to Revelation. ..

Poem of my youth...composed on October 23, 2006
Tracks of a friend in the snow
I have lain on the path of bone chilling fear ...
watched as the death angel hovered near ...
Midnight I rode the trail where black lion stalked ...
my steed snorting his course stayed.. balked ...
I lost my seat and the moon swirled around ...
my head was the first to kiss frozen ground ...
My body bounced down the Arbuckles crag ...
the earth drank my blood and there I laid ...
and dreamed the dream of death’s opening door ...
of life unlived and path’s untracked with joy untasted ...
my future my claim on living gone as I lay wasted ...
but awareness came as light chased away the night ...
My companion grazed close by had kept the cat away ...
snow tracks around my death bed testified to his stay ...
my shirt red soaked with life’s precious fluid staining the ground ...
I drug my pain racked body to the saddle and started down ...
past the still waiting mountain lion eyes peering from thick weeds ...
the smell of my blood kept him waiting to quench his savage needs ...
I looked back as he smelled my blood spilled in the snow where I lay ...
then followed us for awhile before turning to find unguarded prey ...
Danpatch went to equine heaven during the next season’s winter strife ...
But in my dreams I still count the tracks of my friend who saved my life.

Don't Tread on My Flag
We must be very concerned about who we elect as President and Commander in Chief...They must be willing to affirm the Christian roots of this country and the heritage of free enterprise and religious freedom. The must disavow any connection to any other world opinion than one that puts American interests first! They must pledge to never be the instrument of American submission to any authority that subverts the High Law of the Constitution of the United States. At the very least as a potential Commander In Chief of United States Armed Forces they must be able pass and receive a personal Top Secret Clearance background check that we demand of our defenders.God Bless the USA Keep us Free!
